Usual Duties:
-reads instructions to entire group before beginning a lab or activity
and reminds the group of the procedures during the lab/activity
-makes sure that all group members are treated fairly and have the
chance to participate equally
-reminds the group of safety rules and makes sure that all group
members are behaving safely at all times

Materials Manager
Usual Duties:
-collects materials needed at the beginning of a lab or activity
-makes sure that all group members are using materials & equipment
correctly and appropriately at all times
-returns all materials in original condition to where they came from
when finished
Special Duties:
Progress Monitor
Usual Duties:
-keeps track of the time limits set by the teacher
-makes sure that the group is making steady progress throughout the
lab/activity and isn’t getting stuck on any steps
-asks the teacher for help when the group seems to be stuck or
confused
Special Duties:
Spokesperson
Usual Duties:
-records data and other information during the lab/activity and later
shares that data and information for the entire group to record
-leads the group through any post-lab questions or discussion
- reports back to the entire class during whole class discussion
